I've posted some animals and an odd-ball landscape or two lately. Here's one I came across in the files and reworked a little. This is from a Nikon D700 with 105mm DC lens wide open at f/2.

Very nice pleasant light and great colors

Focus seems a bit in front? her left shoulder is in focus , not her eyes

Love the title, first of all. "Fascinating, Admiral... "

Very pleasing portrait of a very worthy subject. The lighting is lovely.

But I'm not sure if her eyes are completely in focus. I could be wrong.

Also feeling that the skin is too smooth (and lacking in texture) by at least half.

Beautiful, though. You capture so many different subjects so well.
