There's a slight blue color shift, but otherwise very nice and with a fancy border might even be good enough to use as an candy advertisement.

I will just say that I wouldn't crop to put the bottom to put the chocolate in the middle but I would give it a try by flipping it 180 degrees to put the choc on the bottom third.
GB......slight blue shift, eh? Well the candy in the top third of the shot was green mints, so I guess that could account for a color shift. I'll rework it and see if I can remove whatever looks blue to you.
gracie and Frog....thanks. I'll give flipping it a try.

John - It still seems ever so cool...... just a very slight bluish tint. Could be the green in the candy though.
Who cares --- it all tastes good, right?

GB........I sure noticed the difference in the second version though. You may be on to something with the blue cast. I'll continue to see if I can work that out.
If I remember right, that was good candy.

John, if your using PS go into your levels adjustment tool and select the white eyedropper for the white balance and click on the white area of the candy canes. That should help get you a good white balance and colors should follow.
I agree that a nice fancy border around this may mae this into a cool greeting card.
John, I like it with the border, it will make a tasty holiday card. I still think you need to get the white balance correct here. Are you using PS or elements?
go into the levels tool ( image>adjustments>levels) and get the eye dropper as shown in my screen capture.
Then click the eye dropper on an area that should be white. Experimenting with selecting an area that works best is a good thing but i had good results with the selcetion area shown.
Gary......thanks. I'm using Elements, and I did do as you suggested, but I must not have picked out the right spot.I'll keep working on it though.......I should have it done by Christmas.
Ahh....I see. I placed the eyedropper on the white spot on the candy cane. You placed it on the white part of the candy. I got it now.
