I like the color versions, I never have been a huge fan of B&W. Our world is full of color, meant to be seen. #2 color would get to the print shop and hung on the wall.
B&W for me purely because of the sky in colour doesn't add anything to the photo and a lot of the textures in the B&W are hidden in the colour version.
You could try adjusting the clouds in the B&W to bring out the definition which seems to be there in the original by playing with the red in the channel mixer. You don't want much just enough to give some detail.

Either one of the first two shoud be hanging on your wall. I cannot decide which I liked best the BW or Color. A great moment/memory captured in film uh I mean digital.
I love the angles of horse and boy in the first photo it is such an original shot, much better than if they were standing side by side. It shows a beautiful spirit of both the horse and the child. Bravo! and personally I prefer the b/w of the close up and the color version of the second. NJ
