Re: Horse 2 the rest of the horse!

Congrats on the color and depth of your photos. It makes the pictures seem like Christmastime commericial shots - they have that warm, American west feeling. My only suggestion would be to work on composition a little more: for ex, the bail of hay behind the horse in the middle shot sort of ruins an otherwise very nice arrangement. The bottom shot is also nice but needs something else in the background. Just something to consider to move your photographs to the next level.........

I agree with GB1, Great colors, focus and use of DOF. It would be well worth the try to clone stamp the bail of hay, short of that it's perfect. Nice work. I also like the last one. I am sure the owners of the horse would love a copy.

Incredible edit Greg. I know what to look for and still cant see anything. I think the edited shot is much cleaner and flattering of the horse. Almost seems like a Marlboro commercial.

Nice.....I'd get rid of the black square sitting on the horse's neck. Probably clone the building to look unopened.

I like this version much better.....

Thanks, GB1 and Tyson, I have learned that after clone stamping to use the healing brush and it helps hide the edit. I also have an edit where I closed the stall door just behind it's head. I would like to know how you set your camera for this Tyson since I know you have and E500 as well. The colors on this are super for a snow picture, very nice.I do see some compression artifacts around it's ears and the top of the house. Gahspidy taught me a cure for that if you want it.

I was looking at one of the horse shots in adobe light room beta, I was so shocked at how clear the image was at 100%. I do so love my E500.
