    Horror Rock singer

Not sure what this sort of band was. Horror Rock would be my description. Very loud, lots of references to crypts, death, hell, etc. Comic book stuff. Shot with a 135 f/2 ISO 800, no flash, center weighted metering. I highly recommend the 135 f/2 for concert photography. Absolutely first-rate, pin sharp, even wide open. By far the best Canon lens I have ever used. I left the hands holding the lighters because I thought that was a great corny touch.

IMO, its too hot. also, it looks out of focus. May just be your resizing though. I don't know why, but it doesn't do it for me. My eyes can't handle it. I also think the hands at the bottom need either a) more of an arm or b)need to be gone. Half a hand is slightly odd. Glad to see you're liking that 135 f/2

I have to agree this is too blown out. When I shoot in situations like this I tend to stop down at least a half step to compensate for sudden light bursts like this. F4.5 is usually more than enough at 3200 ISO to manage most stage lighting at 1/30 of a second. With fog also be careful for extra reflected flare.

I don't mind so much the hot colors and apparent blowout. It looks effective, and also like his hair is about to go up in flames. something about the composition is not feeling right to me. I think he is too centered in the shot for a horizontal frame, and i'm really feeling like a vertical frame up would have been more pleasing and a better fit, with the silhouetted fans in the bottom of the frame. But, I still think this is ok .

Interesting shot, and I guess the picture does represnt a "horror rock" concert. I'm not a huge fan of this, but given the situations, you did alright. I don't mind the colors, it's just there is no definate subject IMO.

Would be interested to see more however,
