    Re: Home

Has a neat feel to it. I would try to move in a little closer to the TVs and lights, perhaps by cropping out some of the foreground. I would crop up to the middle of the couch... that should do it for starters. Too bad the TVs aren't bigger in the pic!

Very interesting shot. I like where you're going with this I'd like to see this shot with a wide angle lens from right behind the couch, looking at the tv's . Give more of a feeling of actually being in the position of living there.

BTW- checked out your pbase gallery, some great work

Nice capture Tom, It looks like a place where a security guard would hang out.

    Re: Home

Tom, this is very strange in a good , interesting way. I like it alot. If I were to suggest doing anything different it would be to step back and leave more space around the sofa in the fg. Looking as if we just entered the room or are peering through a door, with the sofa not so close. The color pictures on the tv against the morbid looking b&w environment is an excellent visual
    Nice work

    Tom -

I smiled and nodded when I first saw this. The angles in this place are so crazy! After looking at it for a few minutes I actually started thinking that stuff might start sliding out of the frame. But I think clean right corners would not have made this a better picture. I like it. I will think about it some more and come back to you with some clearer thoughts.

    Re: Home

Thanks so much to everybody and I agree with all the suggestions for improvement.
This was part of an art installation that was held in a disused power station and space was very limited. Right in front of me was a tape preventing getting in to the room and behind was a partition sort of thingy. Honest.
I was a bit naughty really as photography was not allowed so it was a bit of a hit and run job. Excuses, excuses ...
    Thanks again
