    The highlife on 105th

Some street shot I took today. Kinda funky I thought. I like how the beginning of the shot on the right is totally the address plate and than kinda zooms off to the brick.

    Critique away.

Thanks John. I definately wanted to make those numbers pop out, but still use the brick as a subtle yet good background.

I really like this, the only thing that I saw that I would change is that the bricks in the "corner?" are off a little, I am not sure if you can rotate and crop or if it would be easier to reshoot. I love this concept though. Making good out of things that people see everyday and never think twice about!!

    Chow,

Good observation. I might crop it off or go back and re shoot.

    Thanks again.

    Jared,

The composition is good IMO. There is a "vague" marking on the right side - probably done by someone's finger on dust?? Do you see it? It's the only thing I found distracting.

ETA: Looking at it again, I think it's part of the graffiti - I didn't realize that since it's much less noticeable than the other piece.

    Liz,

I see what your talking about...kinda in the top/centre right? If I remember correctly, it was more graffiti, but very subtle (like done with a black sharpie, so it didn't show up that well).

I'm surprised you were the first person to mention it, I thought it would be a cause for alot more of a problem but I'm glad you like it!

    Thanks Liz.
