    Hey Youngshooter,

Nice colors but I would manage to avoid to center the sun as you did. Locating it on one side or the other would possibly help to give more perspective.

Perhaps, it's just me but I would also say that the second picture feel a bit empty. The boat is a valuable touch and the cloud formation is interesting but I think that adding few more elements in your composition would enhance it.

    regards

    Seb

    going vertical?

I like the first one but the sun is to dead center...maybe try a vertical crop so the height of the trees can be emphasized ...look forward to seeing more of your stuff

The first photo looks pretty good, but the sun shouldn't be in the center.

Second image; great looking sky! The horizon in the middle and not straight is something I would try to avoid. A boat can be a nice touch, but in this case it moving out of the picture, close to the edge, facing the wrong direction. The sun is too small to have enough impact on the viewer. I also don't prefer it in the center.

It's a pitty, because with such an interesting sky (!), filled with great colors and clouds, it could have turned into a really interesting image.

I like the 1st one as well. maybe cut alittle of the water out, and focus on some more cloud civer, espeacially if it is in nice formations. set the sun off to the side, of better in my opinion is to wait so you cant actually see the sun, just the light of red glow flooding off it into the clouds, heres another 1 i like

Good tips from everyone. I actually like the second one myself. Maybe even if the boat wasn't there, I kinda like the idea of just the water, sun, and clouds. The texture of the water is something I like.

Here's one of mine just to throw into the mix ;)
