    High Contrast Texture Shot

I was walking around with a manual focus lens, taking shots here and there for no particular purpose other than to see if I could still able to focus the lens manually. Got this one and messed it up in pp.

    Re: High Contrast Texture Shot

Looks like your aging eyes still got it. I like the textures and particularly the area in the lower right. i like the blues and green in the old pair of socks.
As for manually focusing which is something I do very often, I have found the precision matte focusing screen from Canon for my 5D mkll to be really an imoprovement from the standard screen. It is not as bright and it took a few days to adjust but right off the start I found focusing to be much easier. The screens high contrast lets you see in focus areas really pop. Even in low light i can tell where focus is.
    Nice work, AE

Love the contrast, colour vibrance and composition here. You didn't mess it up. It looks good!

An amazing number of textures and surfaces all in one shot. Good work. - TF

Tremoundous amount of textures, and surfaces for such a relatively small capture area, excellent execution and artistic vision.

Gary, good that you have a focusing screen that can make things easy for you. I'm not sure Nikon has one for the DSLRs. But, whatever my camera has, it seems to work for me so far

Thanks guys for the comments !!

Looks like the tree is dressed for winter! I like all the textures and colors you have going on here.
