    Hi - My first post

Well this is my first post on this site.
This was taken inside a luminarium.

To me it looks a little off-balance, simply because of the vast amount of color on the right hand side, and almost all black on the left. The color is good though. Interesting photo.

I disagree. I feel there is a definite balance precisely because of the abstractness of the image. I like it. Good eye...and WELCOME to the forums. Hope to see more of your work. In the meantime I'll be looking up what a luminarium is.

Nice piece of photographic abstraction. Strong use of natural lines.

The color in the upper right I feel needs some adjustment. It should be more intense or contrasted differently. It should not be the same green as the other, though in 'reality' it probably is the same. That would make the triangular portion of the composition to have a better visual flow and not be 'muddied' by the noticeably less intense coloration.

This piece has many possibilities, but really does not need much of any thing.

The choices you made work well.

Welcome to PR and looking forward to seeing more photos !

Luminarium is like walking inside a big bouncey castle where you are confronted by an internal sculpture and relaxing music.

    Best bet look here...

Re: Hi - My first post

I really enjoy photos with lots of color, lines, angles, and a bit abstract/artsy. So, this is a fine photo to me. Nice job.

Maybe you can help me now. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to post a photo in this section. If you can give me a "clue" that would be great. I can't figure it out. Thanks for the help. And keep on shootin'.

    SmartWombat:

Thanks very much for the help. I must be dense or missing something but I am not seeing the Post/Upload photo button. I clicked on Go Advance and that gave Additional Options, which included an Upload Photo option but my photo has not appeared in the forum. Well, I will keep looking. I am doing something wrong. Thanks for the response, though.
