    A Heart in Bloom

    I'm not sure how I like this, I liked the concept of it though


    What do you think?

    Welcome to the forum. I think the subject is a good one as well as the concept .i think this would benefit from being sharper, all around. I think getting in close to the scene and shooting it with a wider angle lens and stopped down would have brought everything ( fg and bg) into sharper focus. I do not know what equipment you shoot with ( i get the feeling this was zoomed in a bit with a point and shoot type camera) and so it just may be your limited by the gear. Aside from that, i would suggest cropping this from the top to eliminate most of the dark area at the top right. Also crop from the right side to bring the haert away from center and over to the right side while also maintaining your frame ratio.
    I do like the angle you shot this from as opposed to dead on at the heart
