    Headed Out To Sea

Had some nice thunderstorms roll through this week. Here's one as it heads out over the Atlantic. Was a hard shot as there was a real combination of dark shadows, then bright highlights from the sun shining off the clouds. This shot has had a bit of work done to it to dramatize the situation a tad... okay, a lot...LOL What do you think?

the shot looks great, you're just losing a lot of detail in the water and rocks. try some shadow/highlights editing in photoshop.

I dunno, even on my work monitor I can see full detail in the water and most of the detail in the rocks. On my home monitor I can see every ripple of water and every crack/crevice in the rocks

i don't know. i can see some texture on about half of the water, and i can see tiny outlines of rocks. maybe we both see the same thing just two different ways

My god I can smell the water, great shot. I love water shots.

    How can I be lost
If I've got nowhere to go?

Somethings off with the horizon, a tilt or distortion?

    Re: Headed Out To Sea

Thanks for the input guys ZL, here's a slightly different version where I brought the rocks out more. Greg, you're right, I didn't even notice the tilt to the horizon until you mentioned it Also, I attached a copy of the original that is uncorrected other than horizon tilt and a couple dust spots just for comparison.
