Are we not supposed to but of fears beside us when looking at photos?

I think some more saturation, and something with the background would be helpful.

I, too, would like a tad more saturation. Personally I would just darken the background, especially so the bright white part is not competing for attention.

I took the liberty of trying a bit.
I copied the background later a couple times, hiked up the saturation quite a bit and added some contrast, then just masked the snake/foreground. I then went back and and desaturated the bg further. I'm pretty sure my masking job sucked a bit.
