    Head Shot

I found this little guy a few weeks ago (dec 23rd) when I went out on a wildlife hunt. I baited him with a pocket full of nuts and waited till he looked cute enough to shoot.

Shot at full zoom (500) and at f6.4 ISO 400

I had to do quite a bit of post as it was still underexposed. Brought up the exposure, noise ninja, and then smart sharpened to bring back some detail lost in the noise reduction.

Since he was such a nice subject and sat there for me I simply had to share.

    C&C most welcome.

Nice work. Not bad for 500mm.Curious why did you shoot at 400 ISO ? Was this taken in low light?

Great image~ I like it.He looks like he has his winter coat.
    Handsome little feller.

    Thanks for sharing this.

Yes the lighting was very overcast and I was at full zoom so therefore the Aperture was at 6.3. (max setting ) the only way to compensate was to crank up the ISO a bit.. and since my camera is beyond noisy at 800 in low light I did what I could at 400.
