    Wow, yes, this works very well! Your other shots are quite good, don't get me wrong, but I feel this is more of a portrait of the humming bird. It seems more detailed, sharper and more incisive than the color shots.
    You should be very proud of this shot. This should be submitted to some publication for sure.

    Sorry I missed your replies. Thank you very much.

    What if I cropped the top some to lessen some of the space in the top center. I would clone the flower so that it is not cut off.

    I'm in the color camp. I think the coloring is an important part of the hummingbird. Regardless, you have captured some great detail on both of these.
