    Hay bales at sun rise

It's a blended exposure, -2.0 and 0.0. I used a layer mask and painted out the lower half of the photo, to expose the lower half of the photo.

What do you think? Does it work?

I've thrown in another blended image instead of posting it up in another thread. Same exposures, same method used.

I'd want to crop out some sky and get some extra contrast between the front of the foreground bale and ground, otherwise i like this. As is, the clouds up top seem to almost hide/blanket the sun

Sweet shots. Great idea, thanks for sharing it, and these shots. I especially like the gaybales.

Very pretty. I like both. The bottom one has more dramatic foreshortening and depth but could probably use more contrast. The top one is just flat out nice, though the subject is more personal. I thin the blending works

    Thanks for all the input

I like the sky as is, but I'll give it a go cropping.

Very beautiful image Danic. You might consider a slight crop of the top to uncenter it. Nice work.

Not bad,but avoid trying to split your photos in half with the horizon.

Re: Hay bales at sun rise

Hey danic, I like the first one. Good timing with the sun dipping. u caught it at the right time. I agree with michael about diving the shot with the horizon, had u tilted a bit downwards and lifted the horizon up, hence getting more of the foreground, it would've been more effective. I still like it as is.

You've also done a good job on a back lit subject, something i haven't been able to do just yet! (although i've read about it and understand a bit more)
