Your photo definitely has potential. Were you shooting with your lens zoomed all the way in? Cuz it seems like the the whole photo is a bit shaky, but at 1/80, it should be fairly still, unless maybe you shot fully zoomed without a VR lens. Great color, maybe try reshooting with a tripod, or closer. Also it seems there is a water drop on your lens (bottom left bush).

I just found the Hare! I could not figure out the title at first but now I see it! Probably the compression of the image for viewing here but it is almost invisible in the shadows. I would try to bring it out just a little more. Perhaps masking it out and lightening it just a smidge? I really had to go searching for him.

Right on the limits of my eyesight !
I want a monitor calibration kit for Christmas - this looks too dark in the shadows.

    Re: Haring around

    Thanks to all for looking,

I did warn you it was right on the limits of the camera, This was taken very early morning on a frost and slightly misty morn.

I startled the hare when trying to shoot the sunrise and only just manage to get 3 shots off at F8, did not have time to reset the camera for the hare. They really do move at blinding speeds.
(Freerider) I was panning on full zoom with the hare going at full tilt, surprised there isnt more movement at 1/80. The original shot about 3-4cm cropped off the left and bottom. he must have covered 50-70 meters in about 5 - 6 secs in a big arc.

CL - tried to bring out the hare but PSE doesn't help much here. Will try PSP tomorrow if work gives me some time. I must save up for PS, and some tutorials on how these things work. Most of my work has little done to it.

Sorry Paul, didn't refresh before the last response so didn't include your comment in the reply.

This is very dark because I had already setup for the sunrise and had no time for reseting the camera for the hare. See previous reply, so don't get the calibration kit just for this photo - as if you would:-))

    Re: Haring around

Well, played around some more and every time I reduce the size the hare almost disappears.

Much Better. For all of the conditions you described, it is, in fact, amazing.
