    HAN113 - HDR Series

I think the composition kinda sucks in this one, but I'm just throwing it out there. Any feedback is appreciated.

I think it works fine as well. Maybe lighten the front of the car some. I think all the power and phone lines actually help this one.

Love the gritty scene once again. i agree with Greg about trying to bring a bit more out from the front of the car, and also the power lines really add to this.

I think a crop from the left frame halfway to the windows really helps the composition and if you had any more frame at the bottom, a bit more would also work.
    Good stuff

I was thinking crop in from the left, too. There could be more on the bottom, but that doesn't really even bother me.

Otherwise, this is awesome - the way an HDR should look, IMO.

Another great shot. I'd say crop the left too to get rid of the cable hanging down and to place the vehicle in a tighter frame.

    Re: HAN113 - HDR Series

    Don, thanks man.

Greg, I thought to keep a bit of black in this. or else it would become a shot that's lacking contrast, blacks mainly. I'll have to try it out to see the outcome. thanks

Gary, yeah, i don't have anything at the bottom, would've loved to add more. I hadn't thought about cropping it to make it work. I'll def. give it a try. thank u.

Seth, yeah no more at the bottom! sucks. lol

db, thanks I'll definitely try the tighter crop.

I agree with the critiques here. In addition, (nit pick) as I scan this image my eye is drawn to the somewhat blown out large set of top windows, left of the car. I think if they were calmed a bit, I could wander through the scene a lot easier. Can you bring out the reflection in the windshield any more? Great capture and HDR treatment.

    Re: HAN113 - HDR Series

I'd hate to be the cable guy in that town.

Personally I wouldn't crop it. I'd hit up the contrast and tweek the left wall to harden the shadows from the power lines. That way the main focus of the image would be the bright buildings behind the car, and fades to black against the wall giving it a better sense of depth.

Either way, it would be hard to make this picture look bad

    Re: HAN113 - HDR Series

Armando, thanks man. I have lots of shots of streets like this without any subject (car in this one) and I don't know. I don't think they work. maybe I'll share one one of these days.

Ed, not sure what I can do about the reflection in the window.. hmm how would I bring it out? thanks!

username, lol. yeah, imagine having to rewire that. hehe. thanks for the suggestion.
