    Hair of Autumn

Our church had a carnival in September and they asked me to man the camera for the event. This little girls hair caught my eye the second she came in, I've always been envious of girls with red hair. I thought it was a cute picture, what do you guys think? what could I do to work on my people portraits? I really enjoy taking pictures of people, so any advice/critiques will be greatly appreciated.

    Nice photo.

I like the colour of the hair, the heart, and the shirt

I think the skin needs a bit more tone to it and the girl holding the brooch out pulls to much attention to it. It woul be better if it just hangs or include the hands holding the brooch.

Agreed with Roger, except for the skin tone, which, IMO is fine, and the heart on her face, I think it would have been slightly improved if you caught her with the heart not smudged or not there at all. Very good portrait.

It's a fine shot of a great subject. i think you framed it well and exposed it right. The lighting works. . .I think you did fine here. Good work
