An interesting contrast of subject matter (guns and the flowers), though I think a tighter crop is needed. Having the picnic table in the background distracts from this, also with the white wall on the left hand side. A different angle or a different setup would help this picture alot IMO.

The subject matter is interesting, in a comparative sense, but photographically there is nothing really happening here. The surroundings aren't visually interesting, but there isn't really anything you can do about that. Not your fault, certainly.

This is really a difficult scene to do anything with. It comes across as, well, just a flower pot and a cannon.

I guess what I would try is some unusual angle, that got the picnic table out of the shot and emphasized the flower/cannon connection. Maybe lay down on the ground and shoot up at it or something.

    Bobby,

Everything is worth posting IMO; it'll give you feedback that you wouldn't of necessairly thought about.

I good idea, but the surroundings around the subjects prevent it from being taken seriously. I would have called this "War and Peace", cause the flowers symbolize peace. If shot out in the country away from so much city stuff, it would work better.

Thanks for posting, I really like the idea here.

i dont like it.(canon and pot) Perhaps if it was a modern type of hand gun 9mm or such and a sing rose black and white...but i can see the symbolism in GB1's idea
