    Guitar

I took this shot last year, but never did anything with it until now. Some people seem to like it quite a bit, so I'm looking for more reviews, since I'm still not sure how good it really is in my opinion, although I do like it. Any thoughts are welcome.

Beautiful color/tone. Saw this in viewfinder. Only problem I have is its cropped to close on the right, I think. The angle is great.

I would like a bit more DOF and maybe a hint of a brighter orange/yellow? It's a nice shot now, but for some reason it just doesn't jump out at me. If I figure out exactly why it is, I will let you know. I usually realize a couple hours after looking at a photo.

Thanks for the comments. I'll have a look through the rest of the photos of this tonight and see if any are similar but better, and post them here if I have any. If anything, I might need to redo this shot with a real idea in mind, since when I did this one I was just playing around.

    Re: Guitar

Dave - Good, but seeing how you went with selective focus here and on the center, I would have gotten that area sharper. Perhaps you could have upped the DOF but I'm not sure that it's really sharp anywhere in the photograph... perhaps the image didn't scale well or didn't scan sharply? I would also expt with cropping out part of the bottom. This would clip the guitar but it might be more concise, forcing the user's attention to the focal area.

    Re: Guitar

The quality went down a bit when I resized it, so it's actually sharper than this. Thanks for all the suggestions and soon I will take them all and redo this shot with more DOF and not cut the right side as much, and maybe cut closer to the bottom. I'll take as many as I need to to get the right shot.
