The Grotto (dual composite)

Its been a while since I stopped in while logged in. I've been lurking and seeing some great shots. Though critique is always welcome, this shot was more of a cool moment I caught with a dual exposure composite. Hope you enjoy. The grotto is a fun climb down.

WOW! I reckon it is tough to achieve but looks REALLY rewarding. Great shot! Thansk for sharing! I assume you had to do the composite to balance the interior and exterior of the cave. I just LOVE the color of the waters.

A very attractive scene especially the foreground. When you say Dual Exposure compositie, is this an in-camera double exposure. . . or two shots that you took with the intent to meld together in PS? Good result.

Thanks guys. The shot HAD to be a composite in post production, I had my Cokin gradient filter with a 2F drop but that wouldn't cut the blow out occuring on the opening and reflection. The exposure for the cave and water was 25 seconds while the exposure for the opening was 3 seconds. I shot with the 12-24mm F4 G as F22 for full sharpness. I am retouching the composite on the weekend the one here is a quickie job! Glad you guys enjoyed the shot.

Old School - The illumination in the water is an opening in the water that leads to the Georgian Bay outside. That light flooding the water is realy what makes the place worth shooting.
