    Smile Gritty Urban (B&W)

    Hi all,

I've been meaning to expand on my urban photography for a while, so here are some shots. Let me know what you think.

    Thanks for looking!

They look interesting, and I'd like to see them in a bigger size. That bottom shot holds my attention more than the rest.

I think they look pretty good. The second one may have too much empty foreground though. I know, I know, there's something in there...Other than the visual aspect of the photographs, I don't know what to say about the content.

The contrast, lighting and tones in the 1st and 4th ones are best, with the 4th shot being the most interesting because of the fg element and overall balanced composition. All are pretty good, but I agree with AE that the 2nd shot has alot or too much empty spave in the fg and also shade. the cup saves it somewhat but may not be enough.
    Still pretty good all around

Thanks for your comments guys! I'm trying really hard to make this my type of photography as I don't live anywhere near the stunning locations half of this forum seem to.

I wasn't sure if the second photo had too much fg or not. You live and you learn I guess!

    Cheers,
    Daniel

I like the last one. As Gary stated in his comments. A slight contrast boost would do the trick.
