    Greens and Reds

Shot this about a month ago near an art festival. These plants' color is really mesmerizing.

very very pretty...I love the colors of these plants...succlents, I think??

the pinks and greens really look nice and crisp....maybe just level it a little bit? and, crop so the two flowers are right in the center. (between them would be in the center....!!)

    great shot!

I'm not sure about the composition but really like the colors which are unique.
I'd have liked it better if you'd just filled the frame with one, I think.
Aren't those hens & chicks. Never seen those colors on them though.

Agree with the previous comments and would also like to see what could be done by cropping the image further, fantastic colours and crystal clear!

    Re: Greens and Reds

Thanks. I see what you all mean about focusing on only one. The problem is, in this situation I really feel that two works better as the symmetry between them really adds a bit of 'mirror image' to the scene. The problem is that I didn't have a wide enough lens to get all of them in - another shot missed due to the zoom effect of digital

steph, Not sure if they're succulents. I looked online and seems like a lot of flowers, all looking different, are named that. Ahh..

I will have to head back there and see if they still look like this, and try a reshoot!

    Re: Greens and Reds

I feel similar to all the crits above but am surprised that no one else has noticed that the focus point seems to be the middle of the flower on the left, leaving the flower on the right is a tad bit out of focus.

    Re: Greens and Reds

Thanks jimb. The colors are the strongest pt here, as are the shapes.

Shawn - Yikes.. you're right !! I didn't even notice that additional flaw. Back to the scene of the crime for me for a reshoot, maybe this weekend ...........
