    Green Stripe

I liked the way this grass/leaf looked against the mulch...the different textures. What do you think?

i like it, for the same reason, the textures and patterns of the water, the leaf and the mulch.

    Re: Green Stripe

Sorry for getting back so late, Emily. I've been thinking about this image for a while now and I don't know if I can put my finger on it.

I can say that I love the lighting and detail you got on the drops - it literally jumps off my monitor.

What I can't formulate is the leaf shape/positioning and the mulch. I like the simple shape of the leaf but something seems out of balance. I don't know - perhaps that little strip of mulch at the bottom is too small? As for the mulch, I didn't "see" it until you pointed it out. Hope that helps.

Print it and Hang it Emily. The dark red complementary color of the mulch lets the green pop without grabbing attention itself.

Take a look at the B/W you get with just the blue channel... almost as good as the color imho.

    Hi Emily,
I like the different textures and the tranparent water droplets as mentioned in the previous posts. I think the horizontal leaf is a bit static. Good attempt!

Yoyo, Chunk & Loupey...thanks so much for your thoughts on this! I really appreciate it.

Loupey, I can understand what you mean about needing something a bit more...I have another shot with a slightly different look, but still very similar. I might post it for comparison...we'll see.

Chunk...I'll have to check it out with the b&w...thanks! And thanks for the kind words.

Yoyo...thanks for your thoughts on this as well!

    Emily
