    Grave Matters

I've been updating my website and came across a couple of images that I thought I would throw your way. I intentionally upped the red factor to get the very dark sky

I can't decide on this - it seems to busy but I'm attracted to it, I think its that infrared style which I really like.

Also in some areas the cross seems to blend into the sky, but I am viewing in bright light.

I think its really the chains and the rail that spoils it and the cross on the right is to close to the edge of the frame.

PS. sorry if this is a ramble but I'm trying to decide. If I manage to figure out how I feel I'll let you know.

    Re: Grave Matters

Thank you, Roger. It is busy but I think it's one of the reasons I was attracted to it in the first place. I don't know about the UK, but in the US, you see more and more graves that have simple bronze placards placed over the grave, no real headstone. It's extremely plain and simple. So when I see the older cemetaries, I'm drawn to all the overdone heavy stone and arrangments (like the pictures on the headstone on the left.

As for the cross on the right, I've just noticed how often I do stuff like that. I never realized that this is one of my frequently occurring compositional errors, and have vowed to work at it more now that I recognize I'm doing it.

    What Rogers said.

I really like the spooky mood in this one but the fence is too much.

Sigh. John, I was hoping you would since you like to practice. But...since you obviously aren't going to do so...
Seriously, I like it better with the chains.
