    Gotta be the shoes!

I did a nude photo shoot with just my Canon Pro 1, since it is so small, can trigger remote flashes with the ST-E2 and is so damn sharp at ISO 50, but while we were getting ready for the shoot I fooled around and shot some with no flash and spot metering. Naturally, I like these the best of the whole shoot.

This was shot while the model was putting her shoes on. The background was a simple white wall, and the shutter was super slow, like 1/4 of a second, since it was at ISO 50. Still, with a little photoshop (crop and conversion to B&W using Channel Mixer) I got this. Both she and I love this one.

Talking Re: Gotta be the shoes!

LOL! That's a phrase my husband uses a lot and for just that reason! Beautiful form and tone in this image. I love it too. Plenty is left to the imagination, which makes this feel voyeuristic. Thank you for sharing this with us.

    Re: Gotta be the shoes!

Interesting pic. It seems a bit pixelly, but I think (hope) that's just the compression. I wouldn't of mind seeing the whole shoe, seeing is that is what your title is based off of, but a very interesting nude shot to say the least.

    Interesting,

    Jared

    One thing...

    One thing Steve.
Next time you post a nude here, please state so in the subject line.
I like to see nudes as much as anyone else, but a lot of people view the forums from work.

I think this photograph has a lot of potential, but Cropping off the shoes and feet is not good. I like the lighting. But as the others have mentioned it looks pretty pixelated.

It's good to see you posting over here! It's about time!

    Re: Gotta be the shoes!

I think it looks pretty good for a snap shot while getting ready. I wouild have trucked, (mooved your shooting positioned) to the right a bit and maybe set the focus on the front shoe, then reframed to include it a little better.

I love the feel of the shot, good work.

Awesome shot. I like the dreamy, fuzzy effect here....

By the way, I cropped the shoes mostly out because her clothes were in a heap at her feet. I couldn't clone them out, so I just cropped them out. As I said, a test shot. Still, I like the effect of the blur, her outline, and the hazy feel.

    Post the original!
I'd lie to see it, it might be better.

    Re: Gotta be the shoes!

I like the filter effect you put on this, and i don't mind the shoes being cut off so much as it seems to look like a deliberate artistic statement. Somehow, her forearm is bothering me and I think it's because there is much detail held in that area and her arm just comes across too maculine i that position. i might want to see it smoothed over with blur or smudge or more diffused lighting. But , other than that, i think there is substance here in the effect and her form.
