I like the framing and crop on this, Paul. Well spotted scene. The subjects stand out nicely and work off eachother. Other than the lack of any detail in the sky, this is good.
I like the crop well enough and like the way there are only a few elements in the image but that drainpipe gives me problems because it isn't 100% vertical.
Great Paul. Now I would just increase the white in your levels adjustment. Now that the white blown out sky is gone, the levels can use a boost. Looking good.
I find this enchanting and the recent edit makes it a lot better. My only nit pic is that it needs a slight counter clockwise rotation as the tower seems to be leaning just a tad.

Interesting, I used the ruler rotation tool in Lightroom drawing from the centre of the louvres up to the centre of the ball under the statue.
So I suspect it's an illusion, but if more people see it, then I have to move it a gnat's more.
I like the edit better. Also, though I do like how you naturally framed it with the buildings on the sides, it also seems a tad obscured but somewhat unaesthetic surroundings. The building itself seems interesting, if somewhat weird (the Goths would try to slay me for that). -Gb

Great. Exactly what I had in mind. Well done from beginning to end. Now, if only I could look close enough to see if you filled in every last opening in the steeple with sky . . . .
