A little on the blurry side. Also not enough contrast between the match end and the wall or box whatever it is. But ya that is pretty close - what lens is it.

It is a canon MP-E 65 1-5x This was actually on 1x so i can get closer. As far as the blur i am not sure i can help that. I can only get one object in full focus because of the magnification.

Use a tripod, stop it down to F22 and expose for ages

I used ot have similar problems with butterfly photos (must scan some of those old slides).
In the end I used a 123mm lens with 20mm extension tube and two flashes, one low power on camera sn how higher power on a L bracket with handgrip.
The raised off-axis flash gave an more interesting light angle, and the smaller on-camers flash filled in shadows.
I had the flash and camera exposure pre-set for f16 and aligned for the lens focus at infinity.

All I had to do was sneak up on the subject, get the middle of the body in focus and POUNCE.
The hard part was finding a subject

I really enjoy pictures that give you a new/different view than you would normally see on your own. This is a fun shot with good textures and tones. The depth of field for this looks just fine to me given the magnification. Have fun with your new lens and show us what else you discover in the micro/macro world.
    Cheers!
