Google 25 seconds

This is only a small portion of the Google main complex and world H.Q. Mountain View,ca.

The sky was full of smoke from a earlier fireworks display, provided this effect. A 1770 x 875 image for this thread you'll find in my gallery. Your thoughts on this evening?

I think you did well Rick. The smoke from the fireworks adds a lot of mood to the shot. It gives it a surreal look.

Rick, I gotta say that the low res shot in this thread doesn't do the shot justice at all. The high res gallery shot is sweet! The moon just seems a tad "off" though. I'd work a hair more on that moon or leave it out and this one is a winner

Rick - Have to agree with Aaron here... The larger res shot has a quirkly, sci-fi feel to it and a sharpness that the smaller one does not. The smaller one also seems blown out in the highlights. The high res pic is inspiring.. I need to get out of my place and do more night shots!

hey rick, would a smaller aperture have given you more definition around buildings and light glow? When you shoot do you go over the range of apertures on the same speed setting for a particular shot?
