    Going Back on My Word

Ok. Dont tell any of my friends that im posting shots of my pets. I'm normally the one getting nauseas when I see a shot of "Fluffy" or "Spot" sitting around the house or the backyard. in fact, i hardly use deviantArt anymore because of the people racking up a trillion profile views with just snapshots of their dogs. Maybe im just a hypocrit, but when I got this one, my cat wouldnt stop bugging me when i was cleaning my room. so i thought he'd run away if i snapped the flash in his face. I was wrong. in fact he just started "posing" and i got this with a fisheye.

(I still hate dA, but you guys are my favorite...lol)

Had a cat that looked much like yours and he was the best cat I ever had.
I wish I had as good a pic as this one.

Re: Going Back on My Word

Well since this is the Photo Critique section, this is a great snapshot... but that's what it remains to be..just so we are clear...a snapshot....a great one....

As far as photographicality (can i even say that? ) is concerned, well, the background is distracting.... and although there are many colors, they seem faded by the flash...
I have mixed feelings about the shadow, since, from a snapshot POV, it does add to the distortion, yet again, it also is an addition, i would rather remove.... hence, the reason why i truly dislike the on-camera flash...but that's just me!

Other than that, this is quite a beautiful cat you got there, and i find it extremely interesting to use fish-eye with pets....

You have to take lots of pet shots to get one good one, and this is one.

i agree with you whole-heartedly about it being just a snapshot. the on camera flash is just so easy. i mean just push a button and "snap" it pops up. im too lazy to use off camera lighting for snapshots, so on camera will do.
