Slightly odd one Seb. I like the idea of the tractor (?) with no driver and the out of focus house in the background. I take it from the title that you meant that the driver had gone back home? I'm not entirely sure that is obvious .. strangely, if there had been no title I might have concluded that the tractor and house were abandoned. At least the image invites the viewer to see a story in it, which is good. Not sure about the tractor canopy - maybe a bit much?

    Cheers

    Seb,

I like the idea and the image is well seen. The canopy helps frame the image but could be less and the lighting on the right is too strong. Not that you can control natural light but that was all shadow. It is still a great image.

    Regards,

    Phil

Seb, I like the concept here that your after, and have achieved for the most part. My feeling here is that the pole on the right and the canopy above are creating too heavy a frame. When I completely crop out the top canopy and the pole , I like the open feeling and further simplicity of the image. The house on the hill looks very inviting and we can ponder over many stories while looking at it over the steering wheel and shifter in the FG.

The foreground and the house really don't visually relate to each other at all. If it is a tractor then that is definitely NOT a typical Québec farmhouse by any stretch of the imagination in the background and since my wife is a Québec historian, I shoot a lot of seigneuries: modern and historical.

Thank you guys for your observations. On a side note, this is not a tractor. This is a lift truck facing a country house next to the sea (yup, that lift truck was quite out of place...).

I thought it was a fork lift, I've drove a few in my time.
