    Go Niners!

This is the 49er's stadium. They did good last Sunday even though the lost. I've never been to a football game, but for now this is picture good enough. All comments are welcome.

It's a fine photograph, but it seems a bit over processed on my end, the saturation for one.
    Especially in the water.
You get a good feel for what this stadium looks like in the environment and what not.

Nice shot of Candlestick Park now Monster Park. I was at game 3 of the 1989 World Series when we had the earthquake. The Giants were playing the Oakland A's. A day I'll always remember.

Yeah, I remember that. I was doing my paper route when it happened. It was crazy.

It's a decent shot. I like the size, it creates a feeling of enormousness. I'm not sure that much sky is needed and the tilt has to be correct, but I really like it overall.

I have to remember to fix that tilt again.

I agree with Brian about the saturation issue here, but I think this is a pretty successful shot nonetheless. What I want to know is how did you manage to get a shot of the park from that far away without it being obscured by clouds and haze? Did you wait for the one clear day each year at Candlestick Point...?

Well, this was the first day I got the Sony Alpha. Luckly it was a clear day. I started shooting everything I could think of. I shot this at Brisbane. I drive through Brisbane daily, so I was lucky it was nice enough to get this shot.

I was thinking about this post today since the niners won today. As far as the water, I think I left the water over saturated because I like the texture it gave my eyes. I tried leaving it unsaturated, but it gave the picture a different feeling.

    Re: Go Niners!

Wow, Candlestick Park. Last time I was there it was to see Madonna on her "Like A Virgin" Tour, LOL. I think I was probably 21 or 22 back then. Wasn't my idea to go. I was just there along for the ride.

Anyway, back to the photo...this would probably make a good subject when the fog is rolling in (or out). As it stands, the bleak sky tends to really draw away from the photo. But I understand...when you get a new camera you just want to go and shoot everything in sight. Hope you like the Alpha...Photo John used it quite a bit when we had the photogathering in LA, and he came out with some pretty decent shots.
