This is one of our birds - Gizmo.

Green cheek conure.

I think the black background looks good for his colors.

Wish I had more of his burgundy tail in the image.

MD - It's a great shot of the bird, but I find the washed out front part of the twig he's standing on distracting. Nice black background too.

It's actually just a shot just to be getting a shot of the bird, and now I think it would be fun to try again.

If I repeat this one, I try it with a full length perch so there's no stubbed end.

I'll need to scratch my head to figure out if I was using a light source besides a flash.
