    Giulia

I spend way more time taking photos of the outdoors and mountain biking than I take pictures of people. I snapped this of Giulia and her dad at an outside party a week ago, cropped, b/w, posted here.

The shadows on their faces almost make them look like they were lit from different sides, to me, but it was a cloudy day, very late in the afternoon.

    Re: Giulia

Hi - Nice shot of the father and kid. The composition and overall lighting is good. I'm getting a feeling like I'm looking at a 1950s scene here ... I wonder if that's commonwith Black and White? It seems that the contrast is too low, that the photo really tends to the middle grey range. But if you bumped up the contrast you'd have to watch the white and black shirts' highlights too. I'd give it a try though.
