    Girl's Costume At Litang, China

    3 shots of a girl at the Litang Horse Festival wearing her family's wealth:





    this costume is worth many hundred thousands of u.s. dollars, and has been passed down from generation to generation inside the family. nomadic khampas store their wealth as jewelry and precious stones as they are transported, the ornaments also have great emotional value as they are the remnants of decades and centuries of ancestors

    i've been to the litang horse festival 3 times, and there were great photos opportunities. i'll post up some more as time allows
