    Giraffes

    some giraffe photos, i wanted to have the thorns in the picture but didnt know whether to put the thorns on focus or the giraffes, just wanna know what you all think.

    At first I thought the giraffe was way to out of focus in the first one but the more I looked the more I liked it. Something about the giraffe being part of the background with the sharp thorns makes me feel more like I'm there or something.
    Can't explain it except to say I like it.
    The second one is ok but not as appealing to me.

    i agree the first one is great. although i may not have seen the giraffe at first glance had you not said it was in there. but i really like it. like frog said it makes you feel there.

    I find the out of focus thorns distracting, so another vote for the thorns in the first shot.

    Upon reflection, the Giraffes 'pose' in the first photo is really nice, I wish the thorns were the focus in that one.

    Yes, the first, the cob webs and what looks like dew or sap in the focus, with the animal making you take another look at the image.
