    Giraffe and Painted Background

    ... not really a painted background, but to me it looks like a fake painted one. Do you agree?

    Nope, it doesn't look fake to me. Perhaps that is because I have been to African and have many images with BG's that look like this. I like the elephants in the BG. I think they add a lot to the photo.

    Thanks Mike. I think there was some haze that created that 'faded' look back there. Not sure if it's good or bad. I found these guys hard to photograph because they seem like they were continuously moving - walking, turning, moving there heads up and down, etc. One thing that I keep finding in action and wildlife shots is that it's best to use a faster SS with slightly less quality than get blur..
