    Re: Generations

I'm sorry I don't much like this - I dont really understand the relationship between these two ladies, the girl on the right seems very unengaged in the photo, even giving a very hesitant smile. I also dont understand why she has her hand up there, with a ring not properly turned and exposed to the camera. The placement of the two girls looks very awkward, the higher body placement of the left indicates a dominant position in the shot, and their expressions even sort of emphasize that. I don't know what kind of problems this dog gave you, but his belly and inner thighs facing you would be my last choice of position. I now know that dog is either a neutered male or a female, I don't want to be able to know that by looking at its picture. Most of the time dog's can be pretty well managed by a scooby snack, i.e. whatever you have at your disposal (i've used parts of trail mix before even). I'd much prefer to see the three subjects much much closer, too much of their bodies are in the shot.

I do like your lighting setup here, and the dog has a great expression - you've managed to keep the details in a very bright white dog, and you did great with white balance. The light spread to the gifts and to the backdrop very well.

I'm sorry, but it looks like it was taken at Sears. Your subjects show no personality.
    Technically, its fine.

Frog, I was thinking more along the lines of being taken at Wal Mart. My family had one done at Sears one and it turned out fine.
