    Gardner

This Gardner Snake preferred the shelter of some foliage near a planter in our yard. We stared each other down for a while and then both went our separate ways. Other views of him are on the gallery:

Your shot reminds me that I haven't seen a garter snake in years. I really like the Peeking Out shot. Nice work.

Nice shot. I love snakes and was also fortunate enough to get some nice snake pictures this weekend. I really like the front on view and how the snake’s head is framed by the leaves. The only thing I might change if this were my image would be to increase the contrast a little bit.

    Nice shot.

Please don't be offended because I cant look at your other pics of this. I have a snake phobia and can barely stand to comment on this. I still wanted to, because, besides the subject the photo is very well done. Good use of DOF. I've already opened up two posts that I had no idea were gonna be of snakes and so, that's enough for one day. lol
