First shot would probably look better technically if i cropped offf the right. BUT it would destroy the "story." I titled this The Voyeur. :blush2:
I was trying to get some clean rose pictures but these critters were all over the place!

I like the way the second caught the light through the Canna leaves. Haven't done any postprocessing (yet). Focus not ideal on the flowers themselves, but I don't think there is much I can do about that. Other than that, my inclination is to not touch it.

Those ain't Lady Bugs, they're japenese beetles! I can't stand those things, plus, they destroy your plants and your grass (the grubs destroy your root system).

Both are very nice shots. I agree with your thoughts on cropping it on the right. The composition is fine this way, but the bug on the right is a little off focus to my eyes.

Like the second one quite a bit as well.
