    Re: game over

This is certainly a pleasing and well composed image. The line of balls leads into the picture nicely and there is certainly much to enjoy in the varied textures of the old baseballs and the weathered wood. You have controlled the DOF well too, leaving the point of focus on the nearer (and more interesting) baseball - it doesn't bother me at all that the focus falls off a little toward the back of the image. I would though deal with the very small bit of white (paint?) top right - but that is a very small nitpick.

I would have sworn this was HDR. Great vibrancy and sharpness. The wood panel, upper right seems a little blown and we might be missing some more of that wonderful red. But it's a really cool, well done shot.

I enjoy the colour and feel to this. Not sure about the composition though. i can't put my hand on what I feel the problem is, I've looked a few times. But overall it's a very appealing picture and love the mood and how gritty it is.

I thought I commented on this but I guess I did no click on the "post " button

the texture is great, also the subdued colors, makes me think on the cover a book called memories of father and son ... something in those lines

I like the photo, composition and processing. I think the golf balls don't really belong, since the rest of it seems to be about baseball.

Nice composition 0 Like Mike I would either clone or crop out the white pain/text at the top of the picture

    Re: game over

Thanks guys. I'll give that paint spot a good cloning once my homework is less of a pita. I definitely appreciate the feedback about the golf balls, I was just kinda exploring and shooting, but sometimes I need to take the liberty of adjusting my subject. At the same time, that's how it was, so that's how it was shot. Regarding the texture...this is why I love Nik plugin's. I got this from the tonal contrast effect in color efex pro. I'm sure it could be done in curves, but I'm not there yet.
