A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum

Hi all .. I'm just back from a week in Rome. Three pics: The first is Castel St Angelo as viewed from a bridge on the Tiber. The second is the Trevi Fountain at night. The third is my personal favourite - it's one of the galleries in the Vatican Museum.

    Comments always appreciated!
    Cheers

First one is ok as a snapshot.
Second one I like except the fountain lights are over exposed.
I can see why you like the third one best!

I guess I am unmoved by the first, and the second is too busy for me... But I love the geometry in the third one!

Nice photographs, Ah Rome what a great place to go and to take pictures. My favorite of your images is the Castel St Angelo, it has a timeless quality.

Too bad all the people who know how to run this country are busy running taxicabs or cutting hair.

Holy Cow, these are all spectacular. The third, in the museum, could it be any better? Light coming in from the door ways is such a great touch. I really like them all.

Re: A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum

Thanks guys for your kind comments. I was very fortunate with the last one. It was a roped-off gallery and probably the only place in the whole museum not crawling with people. The light was poorish so the best I could do was 1/45 sec (I think) and take half a dozen, hoping that at least one would not have too much camera shake. The main problem was post-production, trying to get the colours back to how I remembered.

    Cheers
