:D Lol...I'm not sure on the poisonous part...I didn't get as up close and personal as one would think, looking at this...hehe.

I really like this shot. I also like your recent leaf submission.

One thing that I think would improve both (and especially this one) is using a greater depth of field (DOF) by stopping down the aperture (f-stop). Doing this would have a lot more in focus. However as you go to a higher f-stop, shutter speed slows. You may need to use a tripod.

I’d suggest using a tripod for many of these still-lifes. The sharper focus and greater DOF would just put them over the top.

I like this one a lot too. I thought the same about the DOF but then when I envision it, I think I may like it best the way you shot it.

I'm with Tim on this one. You are really doing well with these macro pictures but I think the use of a tripod and a greater depth of field is all your missing from these. As a busy mom personally I know, 'Who has time for a tripod?' But for macro work this is pretty much essential. As for the composition I would like to see more cap and stem, less grass. Keep going though! You're doing great!
