    Frozen Leaves 2

    Hello all,
This is a follow up to my earlier post of the leaves in the unfinished fountain. I have played with this one in PSE 2 alot and tried to adjust the various hues, contrast, brightness, etc., manually. What do you think? Is there more (or less) that I should do with it.
    Thanks,
    Ken

it's a wonderful composition, the right angles, the right colors. the only thing I notice is that you had a difficult lighting situation, a bit too much illumation increased by the reflections on the ice. I don't know if you can tune it down a bit without losing the other qualities of the picture (off the bat, I'd try reducing the gamma value).

I have the same software Ken, gave it a healthy levels adjustment and the colors really pop.If your cam has filter threads you might want to get a polorizer for it. It can cut out reflections and helps colors to pop in camera.

Very nice, ken. I like this shot very much. I will second marks suggestion of using a polarizer to cut down the reflections/glare. You would be surprised how much that will actually help.

You can try playing with the color balance Ken. I liked the effect of reducing the blues and bumping up the reds in the highlights and doing the opposite in the shadows. It seemed to remove the glare on the water's surface and let the submerged leaves be a stronger element in the composition. I don't know what Elements has available for this. Hope you don't mind my posting this example.

Thank you all for your suggestions. Chunks adjustment was what I was trying for but couldn't quite get. I will use your suggestions and Chunks example to try to duplicate his attempt, so that I understand better how to improve my art!
    Again, thanx all!!!
