    Front Range HDR Panaramic

So i stitched 3 hdrs into one and the corners were a little screwy so i did some clone stamp to clean it up... i dunno. i know its visible, but i still like the overall photo.

Nice treatment, good composition. Good overall tones, though I wonder if it would be better with more realistic tones?

Good work, bracketed HDR or RAW? Also, which software(s) did you use? I'm curious as to how others might do this.

To my mind this is potentially a wonderful simple landscape ruined by treatment and overwork. There is a large audience for this kind of stuff but I'm not a member.
A straight forward stitched pano in natural colours would be my cup of tea .
Sorry for being so negative on this one.

I have to agree with OverBeyond. Seems like it would be a quite nice landscape pano with natural colors.

I used photmatix and then stitched it together in photoshop.

I love it, who wants to see ANOTHER boring "normal" landscape? Snooze......Very nice job, I dig it.

Out of interest; what do you consider "a boring,"normal" landscape" to be?

Oh you know, blue sky, pretty mountains, green grass, no wild contortions of reality or wildy skewed color schemes. Listen, I wasn't trying to be caustic, I just think this forum, at times, is guilty of perhaps too much of a bias towards "traditional" photography. But hey, most of this stuff is all subjective, I just liked the shot.

I tried to post earlier, but I got a "server busy" error :mad2:

To recap what I tried to say earlier, this is an interesting shot. Unconventional & different, but still interesting. I enjoy looking at it here in the forum, but wouldn't hang it on my wall. Bear in mind that many, many (most) of my own shots would fall into this category.

Exactly. In other words as long as they are well Photoshopped

i thought it turned out really cool with the color changes, especially since the photo has that eerie bend to it as it was stiched together in photoshop. i like it... a lot.

    nice shot.

    Re: Front Range HDR Panaramic

It's art, giving your impression, adding to the landscape. The HDR does wonderful things to the sky and the way the colors lay on each other. This is why they don't drive automated cameras out to take pictures of the mountains.
