    framing 2 and 3

This whole concept really grabbed me today. I wish I hadn't a) been alone in such a remote area and b) had more time to really play and set up some shots. I can't wait to go back w/ reinforcements!

    Re: framing 2 and 3

Hi Amanda, Very nice attempts at framing. Of the 3 you've posted, I like the one with the tire framing the trees and water. However, all of your shots lack a strong subject. In the first shot on the other thread, the framing is excellent, but the building does nothing for the shot. In the shot of the path, I feel that this is more of a "leading lines" type of shot, but yes, the leaning tree does frame the end of the path. But again, no strong subject. In photo #3, the tire, a family having a picnic w/children playing by and in the water or in the sand would have really set this framing off. As it is, I'm just not really sure what your main focus is.
I do agree...GO BACK WITH REINFORCEMENTS and I think you'll come back with excellent shots.
All in all...a great beginning attempt. Your colors and contrast are very good! I look forward to seeing your next attempts.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions, Ken. I realize there is no "subject" in the pictures I posted. I was just so excited about the possibilities! I'm glad you can see them also. I will make sure I share after I go back. I think the trail picture would be cool with a tall daddy walking away hand in hand with a small child. This location is over an hour from my house so it will be some time before I get back there - but I will!
