    Framed Tulip (Final Deconstructed Tulip)

    [/IMG][IMG]

This is the "final" version of this one. This is the second piece (of three) exploring the color wheel, palette, and mandala theme. It's all about the colors(!). Comments are more than welcome. The original Deconstructed Tulip (see below for link to First Version) was very different.

I find this pleasing to look at . The colors are effective. Is this purely digital art or is there a photo in there somewhere.

I actually prefer the first one that you did over this one. I just feel that this one looks too thrown together. It's plain, while the first one has more going on, which I like.

I like the idea of having the blurred background as the pallette! Interesting digital art!

Re: Framed Tulip (Final Deconstructed Tulip)

    Thanks for the input!

There are two photos here. One is the Palette which was photographed and traced and manipulated heavily to produce a mask. The mask was a then overlaid on the second photo which is the large central tulip and its out of focus background. The tulip photo was resized and sharpened(mostly to bring out the water drops).

The smaller primary and secondary colored tulips are the central tulip resized and adjusted with mixers to appropriate colours. The blends and smears are from something similar with the tulip. The brush cleaning and drops are a "trick" in the masking by using and inversion of the mask during the overlay.

Thanks again for your comments. - CDP
