The lone figure adds to the desolate feel of the setting. (Do you capture in color then convert to b/w, or capture original image in b/w? I love b/w, but am seldom satisfied with the outcomes of my attempts.)
This is the second picture where the person of intrest was dead center of the image and it still works. The twisting path leads the eye to the and pass the person works well. It is also a great choice for a B&W and square crop. Nice shot.
I am like Barney Fife, I have a gun but Andy makes me keep the bullet in my pocket..
The winding road is interesting, and the person walking alone head down like that makes the image seem somewhat sad, like the University is closing down or something (b&w can also create this feeling, like an era long ago). I love the building and trees. The only issue I have here is, somehow, the path though interesting in itself seems too bland in comparison to the other elements. Maybe if there was more detail on the road.

I really like the slope of the land against the building. I would like if it was more obvious that the man was on the path; as it is it looks as though he is on the grass walking towards the path. Also that auld dustbin is a bit of a pain and the little tree to the right of it makes it a bit untidy. The tree on the right and the foliage on the left provide good enough framing.
I have a total lack of respect for anything connected with society, except that which makes the roads safer, the beer stronger, the food cheaper, and the old men and old women warmer in the winter and happier in the summer. Brendan Behan
I'm afraid this one isn't working for me, Tuna.
It appears as though the man is growing out of the hill like one of the trees and the its cropped too tight on right so the path is somewhat cut off and everything pulls my eye to the waste bin.
