    Focal B&W experiment

Just mucking about a little here with some shots taken yesterday turned on that was interesting (to me) B/W and then added a little emphasis, do you like?

    Re: Focal B&W experiment

The use of the "desaturate the picture and then color an interesting portion" is an interesting concept, and can be done very well. However, why did you choose to color the pot plant in particular? It is not really a focal point, and the ramp and rails are more interesting in that aspect. The dark portion in the upper part of the photo is a little distracting, and is a little unnecessary in my humbel opinion. I would suggest you concentrate on the rails and ramp more.

I agree with Der.....46, It is a great idea, but a few things throw me off, first is the huge black upper portion, way to obtrusive, as well as the car, it doesn't fit in with the pic, and the flower pot colour I feel doesn't work here either. Its a great try.

    Re: Focal B&W experiment

I'm going to try this shot again one day with the hope that I can be there at a time when no cars are parked in that location. I want to try a concept called flash painting that I've read about but not yet tried.

    Thanks for the input.

The view I showed earlier was inside looking out, this is now outside looking in and also in Color.
